When we nurture our mind and soul, we are better able to take care of ourselves and others. This fills us with the energy and fulfillment to give back to the community and the world. At East Sac Yoga Studio, our mission is to create a framework and gathering place where people can come to recharge and replenish their bodies and their souls before stepping back into the world.
Our studio is located on the Corner of 57th and H Streets— on the North side of H Street in the 57th and H Plaza, next door to Crepe Escape. We offer many different styles of yoga.
Ashtanga ..
Breathe, sweat, stretch and float from pose to pose. Ashtanga is the original
flow-style practice from India and is taught in a specific sequential order. We do the traditional 1st series (aka primary series) every Friday, except the 2nd Friday of each month, which is a 2nd series class. All levels welcome.
Classical Hatha Yoga ..
a fun class for beginners and more experienced students offering a balanced program of traditional Hatha yoga poses, breathwork and meditation techniques.
Kundalini ..
focuses on raising the Kundalini energy to awaken the chakras (inner energy centers) in the body with breathing and yoga postures.
Power Yoga ..
Explore a vigorous flowing style of practice linking breath and movement. A serious workout for fit beginners and through advanced. Asthanga inspired–expect a serious workout.
Restorative ..
A gentle class using longer holds in supported versions of standard yoga poses. We use blocks, blankets and other props to customize the practice to provide deep stretches and relaxation.
Yoga for All ..
You can take these classes and push yourself to your own limit. This class is a combination of styles (Hatha, Asthanga and Kundalini) and the class ends with deep relaxation.
Raja Flow ..
combines the philosophy of the 8 Limbs of Yoga (Raja Yoga) with a powerfully fluid Vinyasa practice which integrates breath and movement. This class works with developing inner-strength, breath awareness, mental focus, alignment and contentment as the keys to unlocking the challenges we face on the mat and in our daily lives. This strong yet graceful practice uses creative sequencing to build strength, flexibility and balance in the body and mind. All levels welcome
Hatha Balance ..
Hatha Balance combines some of the fundamental aspects of yoga; brief meditation, breathing, standing and seated poses, balance poses and so much more. A moderate class that aims for strength and flexibility in both the mind and body.
